Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: 19 April 2026
Our Commitment
JLever Espresso Pty. Ltd. (ACN 686 602 817) is committed to ensuring that our website at jleverespresso.com is accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to discover, evaluate, and purchase our products — and that the web works best when it works for everyone.
We are actively working to improve the accessibility and usability of our Website, and to meet internationally recognised accessibility standards.
Conformance Standard
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines describe how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the standard referenced in the Australian Disability Discrimination Act 1992 guidance, the European Accessibility Act, the United Kingdom Equality Act 2010, and the United States Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III.
Compliance Status
Our Website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform. We are working to resolve outstanding issues as part of an ongoing programme of improvement.
We completed a formal structured accessibility audit against WCAG 2.2 Level AA in April 2026, and have remediated the majority of identified issues across site navigation, forms, colour contrast, headings, keyboard access, focus indicators, and target sizes. Remaining known gaps are documented below.
Scope
This Accessibility Statement applies to the website jleverespresso.com, including all product pages, category pages, content pages, and the checkout flow.
This Statement does not cover:
- Third-party content embedded into our Website (for example, Wistia video players, Kickstarter widgets, payment processor pages, and our cookie consent banner), which is governed by the accessibility practices of those third parties;
- External websites we link to (for example, social media profiles, Kickstarter campaign pages);
- Content uploaded by users, such as product reviews, where formatting is controlled by the submitter.
Known Limitations
We are aware that some aspects of our Website may not currently meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA in full. Known limitations include, but are not limited to:
- Third-party checkout: the checkout pages are provided by our e-commerce platform (BigCommerce). Any underlying accessibility limitations within the checkout flow are reliant on BigCommerce for remediation. We have applied theme-level overrides where possible (including restoring pinch-zoom on mobile checkout, which BigCommerce disables by default);
- Third-party embedded content: video players, social-media embeds, and similar third-party tools may not fully conform to WCAG 2.2;
- Legacy content: some older product imagery and marketing content may not yet have ideal alternative text. We are progressively updating these as we review each product page;
- Motion preferences: some decorative animations on our product category pages do not currently honour the prefers-reduced-motion browser setting. Users sensitive to motion can pause or reset any animated element by clicking it a second time. Full support for prefers-reduced-motion is planned for a future update;
- Desktop navigation dropdowns: when the primary category submenu is opened via keyboard, its aria-expanded state is not programmatically updated. Submenu items themselves remain reachable by the Tab key. A full keyboard-and-ARIA implementation is planned;
- Page headings on certain templates: on category listing, content, and blog pages the primary page heading is hidden by our current theme design. Screen reader users may not hear a top-level page title announced on these specific page types. The page title remains conveyed through the browser tab title and document outline.
If you encounter an accessibility issue not covered above, please let us know — we would rather hear about it than not.
