Your espresso journey just got way easier
Imagine crafting an outstanding café style espresso in about 2 mins* with ease. No long machine warm-up wait or lengthy preheating routines. No long frustrating dial-in sessions. Clean up - about 30 seconds.
* As timed using a 2,200W kettle - time to espresso can be faster or slower depending on your setup.
They cut waste, save time, and take the frustration out of dial-in - you'll be an expert in no time.
Representing a ground-up rethink of manual lever espresso machines. Take advantage of a huge multi-year effort to polish this unit.
The JLeverX was built for speed and ease of use - but without compromising taste. Capable of producing rich, sweet, complex espresso flavors, with a smooth buttery mouthfeel.

And with multiple baskets you can batch prep espresso shots: pulling multiple shots in a row without clean-up. Nobody is left waiting for their coffee.
* As timed using a 2,200W kettle - time to espresso can be faster or slower depending on your set up.

For those concerned about hot water in contact with plastic, stainless steel and food-grade silicone seals offer chemical stability under repeated heating and pressure.

Not just high leverage - but an innovative mechanism that matches peak leverage to peak pressure requirements, actually guiding you to a declining pressure lever profile.

Get the best out of your roast with pressure profiling; pre-infusion, straight 9 bar or a declining pressure lever profile. Set extraction temperatures anywhere up to 95°C after a quick pre-heat. Extract using a wider range of water chemistries.*
* On the JLeverX you can brew with water chemistries that would otherwise scale or damage a pump machine.

Use hot water stratification to your advantage; start your shot with the hottest 92°C water for extra espresso sweetness.
* Note, some light roasts may benefit from a quick pre-heat.

Classic spring lever espresso machines decline pressure AND temperature, producing that characteristically soft, velvety espresso. The JLeverX defaults to a declining profile.

You can easily pull coarse-grind, low turbidity, low-pressure pour-over / AeroPress-style shots, if you struggle with the inherent bitterness of espresso.

Make gravity work for you, not against you, during that critical low-pressure pre-infusion phase, reducing the potential for channeling slightly.
Using an espresso, ristretto or lungo as a starting base.

*Note, you'll need a milk frothing option for these drinks, as the JLeverX cannot froth milk.

Fresh, locally roasted coffee tastes phenomenal - and brewed fresh at home, it typically costs less per gram than pods. A better experience for you, your family and friends, at a lower price.

Many canned caffeine drinks contain added sugar or artificial sweeteners, flavourings, and other additives. An espresso is just ground coffee beans and hot water.

Pods, single-use containers and plastics can contribute to environmental pollution if they end up in landfills or natural environments, potentially leaching chemicals and microplastics. The world we leave behind for our next generation matters.

In Australia, the JLeverX pilot run is near complete: 100 units only, with dispatch in late November 2026. Pre-orders are open. For international buyers, we're aiming for a Kickstarter in late 2026 to early 2027.
Most likely, it'll launch in Europe, the US, UK, Japan, and Australia. Availability in other countries will depend on whether we can get retail stores to stock our items. We encourage all interested stores to contact us if you'd like to stock JLever Espresso products.
You'll need a separate milk frother to make milk-based espresso drinks like cappuccinos and lattes. We recommend Subminimal products, but others are available.
Not initially. However, if we receive enough customer requests, these can easily be produced as an aftermarket option.
We designed the JLeverX to be super easy to “pull” shots on, so the arms are on the longer side and do take up some room. Options include pulling shots at an angle across a benchtop corner, with one arm extending over the sink, or even turning the unit nearly perpendicular to the benchtop. However, if you have a very small kitchen and can't find a space for the arm length, the JLeverX may not be suitable for you.
There is certainly room for step-down baskets so yes - however, it's best that we make native (non-step down) small diameter baskets and container tops to fit these. These may be available later down the track in 2027.
Yes, and we encourage this. Drinking coffee is often a social event, and with two or three portafilter baskets, you can easily prepare multiple baskets back-to-back so you can enjoy espresso or other beverages with company!
It depends on the component:
5 years: aluminium base, cylinder body, piston, baskets and basket tops.
3 years: accessories (magnetic funnel, tamper, adjustable scoop, WDT tool and Allen key). WDT needles are not covered against bending.
2 years: bearings, arms, shafts, silicone covers and other moving or mechanically loaded parts.
6 months: springs, silicone gaskets, O-rings and puck retainer plates.
