We're aiming for a Kickstarter in late June, with a end-2026 launch date. However, we've made predictions before and have completely missed the mark, so any launch timeline is very tentative. Lastly be assured delays in the Kickstarter are not delaying the development and any delay benefits potential backers with less risk.
Most likely, it'll launch in Europe, the US, UK, Japan, and Australia. Availability in other countries will depend on whether we can get retail stores to stock our items. We encourage all interested stores to contact us if you'd like to stock JLever Espresso products.
You'll need a separate milk frother to make milk-based espresso drinks like cappuccinos and lattes. We recommend subminimal products, but others are available.
Not initially. However, if we receive enough customer requests, these can easily be produced as an aftermarket option.
We designed the JLeverX to be super easy to “pull” shots on, so the arms are on the longer side and do take up some room. Options include pulling shots at an angle across a benchtop corner, with one arm extending over the sink, or even turning the unit nearly perpendicular to the benchtop. However, if you have a very small kitchen and can't find a space for the arm length, the JLeverX may not be suitable for you.
There is certainly room for step-down baskets so yes - however, it's best that we make native (non-step down) small diameter baskets and container tops to fit these. These may be available later down the track in 2027.
Yes, and we encourage this. Drinking coffee is a social event, and with two or three portafilter baskets, you can easily prepare multiple baskets back-to-back so you can enjoy espresso or other beverages with company!
The JLeverX will have a 1-5-year warranty depending on the component. A final warranty period will be advised on.
